La Brussels Calling est de retour!
La base est à chaque fois une bière blonde à 6,5% d’alcool, mais nous modifions le houblonnage chaque année, pour le fun et l'expérimentation, en faisant toujours attention à l'équilibre des saveurs. Cette année, nous sommes encore en Allemagne avec une savante combinaison de nouvelles variétés ajoutées en dry-hopping.
Au nez, c'est une explosion de fruits exotiques et de fleurs. En bouche, ces arômes se prolongent en se complexifiant, et sont complétés par un côté légèrement résineux. On a presque l'impression d'avoir mordu dans une fleur de houblon! Elle est structurée par de belles notes maltées et une amertume très fine, qui renforce encore sa fraîcheur. En arrière-goût, le fruité se fond avec l'amertume dans une finale à la fois sèche et soyeuse.

Altijd een blond bier van 6,5% alcohol, maar elk jaar veranderen we de hoppen, voor de fun en om te experimenteren. Zoals steeds houden we hierbij de smaakbalans nauwkeurig in het oog! Dit jaar hebben we gekozen voor nieuwe Duitse hopvariëteiten, vakkundig gecombineerd in dry-hopping. In de neus krijgen we een ware explosie van exotisch fruit en bloemen. In de mond houden deze aroma’s aan, maar ze worden complexer en aangevuld met een harsachtige toets. Het is net alsof je in een hopbloem bijt! Het bier krijgt structuur door haar moutige tonen, en de fijne bitterheid maakt haar nog verfrissender. In de nasmaak versmelt deze fruitigheid met deze bitterheid, wat haar een enerzijds droge en anderzijds zijdeachtige finale geeft.

Every year it is a blond beer of 6,5%, but each year we do things slightly different. We change the hops, for fun and to experiment. As always, the balance in flavours is key! This year we skillfully combined some new German hop varieties to dry-hop the beer with. This gives us a true explosion of exotic fruit and flowers in the nose. When we taste the beer, these aromas stick with us, but they become more complex and are joined by some resinous notes. It really is like biting into a hop flower! The beer is structured by its malty undertone, and is refreshing because of her delicate bitterness. The touches of fruit and bitterness melt together in her finish, which gives the beer a both dry and silky finale.
